Investing in a Stronger Piedmont
The Piedmont Community Foundation has organized methods to help receive and distribute donor money to local causes. One of the methods of distribution is a grant giving process. This process is jointly facilitated with our partner, the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma (CFO).
CURRENT GRANT ENDEAVOR:
Recent data center developers who have come to Piedmont want to demonstrate tangible goodwill with the community. One of their initiatives for doing this is by making philanthropic donations to local charitable causes. This is an ideal and practical activity for the Piedmont Community Foundation to organize and support.
Cloverleaf is a Data Center developer that has made a $1 million gift that has been deposited into the Piedmont Community Foundation’s account at CFO. Cloverleaf wanted to show they truly intended to give back to the community but also understood sharing $1 million across the community takes some coordination. To strike a balance Cloverleaf asked that two $25,000 gifts be made immediately while allowing the remaining funds to be given in a more orchestrated process. In September of 2026 the Piedmont Service Center and the Piedmont Area Veterans Association each received a $25,000 donation that passed through the Piedmont Community Foundation. The Piedmont Community Foundation is excited to distribute grants for community needs with the funds provided from Cloverleaf. There will be two types of grants that may be applied for. One type is a “Community Grant” for an immediate need that directly benefits the Piedmont area community for up to $25,000. The second type is an “Impact Grant” that needs a larger investment that is intended to create a lasting and ongoing effect for up to $100,000.
